Hi, I'm Carrie
My yoga journey feels like it has spanned numerous lifetimes.

My path to healing began in my early 20s, facing challenges in both mind and body. It was then that I discovered the transformative healing powers of Yoga and Ayurveda. I found healing, not just physically but also psycho-emotionally and spiritually. It was so transformative that I knew that I wanted to help others who were also going through difficult health-related circumstances.
It has been a long journey to get here. I am first and foremost forever the student and grateful to return to teaching after taking time away to do my healing work and I deeply believe that the universe has a way of putting us back on the path when we deviate from our life's work. I have chosen to look at my medical adversity as an opportunity to redirect me back to my practice and back to offering these transformative practices to you.

The Flow was created out of my passion for holding space, guide people toward balance and create community through Yoga. It is my calling to offer solace, healing, and advocacy for the holistic well-being of others.

MY STORY...
Living with chronic health conditions, I longed to find alternative healing that took a whole-person wellness approach. A decade ago, my transformative journey began at Kripalu—a sacred space where I discovered the immense healing power of yoga. Yoga became my sanctuary, rescuing me not only from physical ailments and conditions but also from my inner struggles. My long-standing battle with Crohn's disease, from 10 years old, became manageable, something I had been led to believe was not possible, and it became my reality.
Then later, when I was facing Leukemia at 29, Yoga became my sanctuary in handling what I refer to as "the aftermath" that comes with survivorship- the lifelong side effects such as being a young adult who was placed in medical menopause, unable to come out and therefore dealing with infertility, the physical isolation due to being immune compromised and the social isolation from my life being on a different timeline than my friends and family.
These experiences have shaped me into a compassionate, understanding, empathetic person with unique lived experience.
The practices of Yoga and Ayurveda created space for me to be with whatever I was holding. This space came with moments of peace and equanimity. In those moments, a realization dawned upon me—I yearned to extend this profound sense of safety and acceptance to others, to help them embrace their imperfectly perfect selves.
The Flow Offerings
The Flow offerings are more than just physical exercises; they are immersive experiences that foster emotional
healing, mental resilience, and spiritual growth.
1-ON-1's
I offer customized Yoga Therapy sessions with individuals seeking support in their healing journey. An initial intake session to prescribe applicable practices, you have the option to continue working with me either in a series of sessions, or choose to pay a la carte.

These sessions are ideal for individuals who want to feel deeply supported in an intimate setting, working together in person, to generate a space that feels safe, nourishing, and comfortable.
PRIVATE GROUPS
I work with groups from various institutions and organizations that range from programming/workshops in clinical settings, for corporations, small local businesses and more. Together, we will construct a curriculum that ideally suits your needs and desires.

You can either book one-off private group sessions, or we can orchestrate a recurring class series.
